'[sore wa] dou iu imi desu ka' Word per word?
Can someone please help me with this phrase? According to my audio lessons, it means 'what does that mean?' as in
mikka wa dou iu imi desu ka?
and the answer is usually
[something] dou iu imi desu.
what i want to know is, what does each word mean part by part? i don't think there's any fun in learning set phrases... i want to be able to use those words on my own too. thanks in advance!
