Could you please help to translate the following newspaper sentence?
"Die Deutschen müssen sich nicht nach Krisen umschauen, sie drängen sich von allen Seiten von selber auf."

It means something like this:
The Germans don't have to look for crises, they (the crises) gather from all sides.

Dirk, thanks for commenting.
I got lost at: 1) who pulls whom from all sides
2) how is the first part of the sentence related to the second one: they shouldn't look around because they pull themselves? Doesn't make sense to me together therefore asking for some help.
