what does dry mean? 1. make a dry crackling sound; "rustling silk" "the dry leaves were rustling in the breeze" what does dry mean? Do you think this is the correct definition of rustling?

Dry = not wet. The laundry is dry. Rustling = a type of sound. In this case when dry leaves tumble in the wind.

Dry is the opposite of wet. The desert is dry. The ocean is wet. Dry, dead leaves make noise when you step on them.
