Are these sentences different?
1) 한국은 미국처럼 되고 있다고 본다.
2) 한국은 미국처럼 되고 있다고 생각한다.
How are 는다고 보다 and 는다고 생각하다 used?

In this case, 보다 means 생각한다.
보다 has several meanings
- test, try : 먹어보니 귤이네.
- look,see : 그녀의 얼굴을 보다.
- more : 너보다 더 빠르다.
- think, opinion : 일리가 있다고 본다. 네 말도 맞다고 본다.

다고 보다 means "to evaluate(estimate) that"
다고 생각하다 means "to think that"
한국은 미국처럼 되고 있다고 본다.
I evaluate that Korea is becoming like US.
한국은 미국처럼 되고 있다고 생각한다.
I think that Korea is becoming like US.
