I think this should be [I left the dorm which I had been living in] or [I was living in].

donde estaba alojado= where I was staying; alojado es el participio del verbo alojar "to stay", los participios en español pueden, en numerosas ocasiones, funcionar como adjetivos aunque no en este caso.
