the usage of -고요
What is the difference between 아니고요 and 아닙니다? I watch Korean show and when people who is at the same age or has a close relationship talk to each other, they use -고요 much more than other structure like 아/어요 or ㅂ니다

'-고요'는 어미 '-고'에 보조사 '요'가 붙은 말입니다. 여기에 쓰인 '-고'는 앞의 말에 덧붙이거나 계속 이어 말하며 듣는 사람에게 물어보거나 말하는 사람의 뜻을 나타내는 표현입니다.
"아니고요" is "아니에요 + 그리고"
"A는 아니고요" means "It is not A. and..."
