Community TutorHow do you say "to tell someone to do or not to do something" in German?
For instance,
Affirmative:
1a. He told me to meet him at Starbucks tomorrow.
1b. He told me to buy that book.
1c. He told the kid to bring him the book.
Negative:
2a. He told me to not sing.
2b. He told me to not leave work before 9 o'clock.
2c. He told me to not go to the gym after work.

I would translate it like that:
Maybe someone else has a better idea, I can't think about another possible translation right now.
