When can I use "entertainment" in the plural? The dictionary says that the word can be both countable and uncountable, but it doesn't give any examples of its use in the plural. Can I say, "There are a lot of entertaiments in the city."?

Yes, it can be used in that way. When the word refers to shows, performances, concerts and so on, it is countable.
