Which sentence is better?
By the end of my degree, I will have designed ....
On completion of the MSc, I would have designed ....
I wrote the first sentence and the second one was suggested as a correction, but I don't think it conveys the intended meaning. What do you think ?

You are right. The second suggests that you will not complete the degree.
I'd write, By the time I earn my degree, I will have designed ...
