Meaning of "pleier"?
Dear all,
What do these two sentences mean?
- Pleier du å kjøpe mat der?
- Vi pleier ikke å ha matpakke i Italia.
I thought the word "pleie" or "pleier" refers to taking care, nursing. So I'm a bit confused because I can't find another translation or explanation. Can you please help me out?
Thank you in advance :)

"pleie" can mean "nurse", but it can also mean "to do something as a habit".
- Pleier du å kjøpe mat der? --> Do you usually buy food there?
- Vi pleier ikke å ha matpakke i Italia --> We typically don't have packed lunch in Italy.
Another word with the same meaning is "bruke" (which has this meaning in addition to "use")
- Bruker du å kjøpe mat der? --> Do you usually buy food there?
- Vi bruker ikke å ha matpakke i Italia --> We typically/usually don't have packed lunch in Italy
