are these two ways of expressing millions correct ?
1. There are millions of people. there are one million people
2. One million people are here. millions of people are here
What´s the rule fro the use of articles and plural with this noun: million?

A specific number would be singular but an unspecified number (where the exact amount in not know) would be plural.( Also the preposition "of" is used with the singular.)
Example We saw hundreds of birds flying in the sky. We saw 200 birds flying in the sky.
