How would I translate in Spanish:
I am about to run out of gas
I have run out of time to get the project done.

To run out of (something) = Quedarse sin (algo)
En tus ejemplos:
I am about to run out of gas. = Me estoy quedando sin gasolina (we would use "present continuous")
I have run out of time to get the project done. = Me he quedado sin tiempo para acabar el proyecto.
