what makes a piece of art a masterpiece? I know italki is a language exchange and learning community but if someone know the answer i would really appreciate it

Hope you like my selection by the way. ;) Not by any means complete. Besides, people have different taste. The "Victory Boogy Woogie" for example (the one with all the little squares and rectangles) isn't really something I like but many people enjoy it. Hmm, just felt like adding some more:

When it's either really new and creative and extraordinary, or when it's so refined in an existing class of art that it's almost impossible to give criticism. At least that's what I think.
