What does it mean in Japanese?
Recently I've found in a song a fragment ''羯諦羯諦 波羅僧羯諦'' I have no Idea if it's still Japanese, but the whole song was. I alco couldn't find it in the dictionary.

It's a phrase of "般若心経<はんにゃしんぎょう>" a most famous sutra/the Buddhist scriptures. ''羯諦羯諦 波羅僧羯諦'' come from sounds of Sanskrit(the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, a philosophical language in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and a literary language that was in use as a lingua franca in the Indian cultural zone). 般若心経 is ended by "即説呪曰、羯諦羯諦、波羅羯諦、波羅僧羯諦、菩提薩婆訶。般若心経". The part of "羯諦羯諦<ぎゃていぎゃてい>、波羅羯諦<はらぎゃてい>、波羅僧羯諦<はらそうぎゃてい>、菩提薩婆訶<ぼうじそわか>" is a mantra(咒<しゅ>) or a incantation(呪文<じゅもん>). They were transliterated(sounds were copied), so meanings are not in kanjis(Chinese characters)as the same as 亜米利加<アメリカ>the US.
