I have a question the south-east or the southeast
I would like to know which one is the correct on these words:
the south-east or the southeast. thanks for everybody helps.

There's an evolution in the direction of using the hyphen less and less. I can't find "south-east" at ahdictionary.com and would recommend "southeast."
There are many, many examples of words in transition from hyphenated to unhyphenated. You will often see compound words written with a hyphen in books written fifty years ago that are no longer written with a hyphen today.

In this case, neither are incorrect. They can both be written that way.
