Yes, Definitely Craig. This is exactly how we would say it in Jordan: بِدِي أدرس عربي , and this is how we pronounce it: biddi adros arbi. And this is how say it in (MSA) modern standard Arabic:
أريد تعلم اللغة العربية , and it's pronounced like this: oredo taállom alloghti alarbiah. Good luck.

I am sorry but I think the best way is without adout learning standard Arabic."Keep avoiding all Arabic dialects wahtever their origin", for this you can compare the answer of MUMTAZ أريد تعلم اللغة العربيةand بِدِي أدرس عربي

انا بدي ادرس عربي = ana baddi udrus arabi
انا بدي اتعلم عربي = ana baddi ita-allam arabi
Both have the same meaning, "I want to learn / study Arabic"

yes it's but the correct way is : أنا بدي أدرس عربي
and in the academic arabic is : أنا أريد تعلم العربية
