What does "even" mean in Dutch?
For example why is the word "even" used in the following sentences and in which cases would you use it.
Mag Ik jouw mobiel even gebruiken?
Mag Ik de melk even?
I understand each word in the sentence but why is "even" added.

Even is used to say that it is for a short period of time. In Flemings say effe instead of even. Just so you know. ;)
