成语 or saying that means it's better to be pale and ugly than beautiful and tan? I remember a friend telling me a Chinese saying that it's better for women to be ugly and pale than beautiful and tan. I can't remember what it was though. Can anyone tell me? I disagree but I think it's interesting. In my home country people like tanned skin. I lose in both cultures. I'm pale with lots and lots and lots of freckles. :)
