I got a bad line When you have a videochat with your friend but Internet is poor, then you say I got a poor /bad line . Is it natural? When do you use the word line?videochat? Voice chat on the Internet? Phone call? Voice messages? When you can hear what your partner says or you cannot download their voice messages well, would you say I got a bad or poor line or the line is bad or poor? And I say the I got a bad or poor Internet or signal? Thank you

I would refer to it as a "bad connection".

I usually say "I have a bad connection" or "my connection is bad" or "I'm getting disconnected". "A bad line" is usually used for phone calls that rely on phone "lines" that's why "a bad line". But for video chats that run on internet connection, "a bad connection" is more suitable. Being unable to download a voice message would be due to a poor internet connection also, so "a bad/poor connection" would be more suitable. Hope this helps! :)

For the Internet, particularly video or audio chat, I would usually say "I have a bad connection", although "poor connection" is also acceptable. For the phone, you can say that the signal, reception or connection is bad. I would only use line if I'm using a corded landline phone, not a cell phone.

I will say "My connection is not good." 可以试试升级一下skype吧,应该可能会改善通话质量。haha~~^^
