How should I pronounce 8x8? 16:9? Can you tell me how I should pronounce '8x8' in this sentence? Write a program that creates a string that represents an 8×8 grid, using newline characters to separate lines. And what about 16:9 in this sentence? You say '8 by 8' in that example, because you are talking about dimensions, and not a multiplication which would usually be said '8 times 8'. For 16:9, you just say the numbers, sixteen nine without anything in between. The : just shows its a ratio, you don't have to say anything extra.
