Gerund or an infinitive ?
Can we use Gerunds in place of infinitives or vice versa, as in the following sentence ?
1. To learn a new language is helpful.
2. Learning a new language is helpful.

The 2nd sentence sounds more natural.

Both of these sentences are grammatically correct, both are good English, and both of them mean the same thing.
