Is there English equal idiom that means "white money for black days"?

I don't think so, but I don't know the Ukrainian saying so I can't be sure.
There's a much less colorful saying in English, "Save for a rainy day."
People will talk about having a "rainy-day fund." In fact, the TOWN I live in has a reserve fund, which town officials informally refer to as the "rainy-day fund."
