Could anyone tell me the meaning of the expression "to be on fire"? I've heard it in a song.Thanks.

It depends on the context. In the Bruce Springsteen song, "I'm on Fire," it means he is filled with desire and lust. However, it can also mean that someone is suddenly being extremely successful at something. For example, we could say about a salesman, "He's had 90% successful sales for the past week—he's on fire!"
