Can be the Australian Band but also can be:
adjective
Definition:
1. powered by battery or electrical outlet: able to be powered by battery or by connection to an electrical outlet.
2. offensive term: an offensive term meaning bisexual ( slang )
If you think a little, you will realize the relation between the meanings.

Hi Bean
I think you will find that this originates from the electrical terms AC and DC
AC = alternating current, DC = direct current
So a person who is described as AC/DC oscillates (changes back and forward) between straight and gay.

in addition to being a reference to alternating current
and direct current,
it is also the name of a heavy metal rock band
from australia that i love and my parents hate.

Hello Bean: Now reading some answers - I understand your question was in English.
But when I first saw it, I thought in "Spanish" and just in case I tell you: AC (antes de Cristo which means Before Christ) and DC (despues de Cristo which means After Christ), and people refers to this to locate time of a determined event, but if you see translation to English - some people leaves the AC and changes all sense because meaning is opposite between both languages. For translators, this is an important issue to take into account.
Have a nice day
