Aishiteru/aishite iru
I have seen aishiteru and aishite iru when learning and were told both mean 'love'. What's the difference? Thank you.

I use "Aishiteru".
"shiteiru(している)" will be used with "wo(を)".
"noun+wo(を)+shiteiru(している)"
For example,
Shigoto wo shiteiru.(仕事をしている)
Koi wo shiteiru.(恋をしている)
Seki wo shiteiru.(咳をしている)
