교도소, 감옥 차이가 뭐에요?
First I thought that one is pure Korean, one is Sino-Korean. But I just knew that both of them are Sino-Korean. Then what is the difference?

같은 말입니다. 다만, 요즘은 '감옥'이라는 단어보다 '교도소'라는 단어를 더 자주 씁니다 :)
어감(단어의 느낌)이 '감옥'은 '가두어 두는 곳, 벌을 주는 곳'이라는 느낌이고
'교도소'는 '교도하는 곳=바로잡아 인도하는 곳'이라는 뜻으로 '감옥'보다는 '교도소'를 쓰는 것이 더 좋겠네요^^
