What's the difference between "xihuan; 喜欢" and "ai； 爱" in Chinese?
xihuan ； 喜欢
ai; 爱
translation is same as LOVE.

喜欢是爱的一种含蓄表达，特别是描述对人的感情而言，一般而言先用“喜欢”这种委婉表达词语，当发展到较深层次后，才用“爱”来表达。

爱：love

爱 is deeper love
喜欢 is much easier to be said, while 爱 should be considered seriously

i love you = 我爱你 (direct way) =我喜欢你（kind of shy)
Some Chinese like to say: ‘喜欢’ is to take; ‘爱’ is to give.
In wedding couples will use 爱 for certain.
