What is the difference between "me" and "mi" in Spanish?

Also note that it is not the same mi (without accent) and "mí (with accent):
Mi - possessive adjetive "mi amigo - my friend"
Mí - personal pronoun after preposition "Se ríe de mí - He laughs at me
Me - personal pronoun. direct or indirect object "Me dijo - He told me"

• "Mi" is a possessive pronoun, it's the equivalent of "my".
• "Me" is a reflexive pronoun... kind of like saying "to my person... I.e: "El me dijo eso" =He told me that.
