In,On or At in discusstions about the internet Hi, I'm trying to understand what is the best a preposition when I'm talking the internet and pages. For example, I created an internet page (at/on/in) the internet and published it via, for example, blogs.com and now want to show to a friend of mine: - Hi! - Hey, what's up - I created a new page (at/on/in) the internet! You can find it (at/on/in) blogs.com! - Wow, how did you do that? - That's easy, I'll give you my credentials and you (will?) can check the page (at/on/in) the admin. - Ok, I'll do that. For now, I already left a comment there, take a look at it :) - Where I can see it? - I guess, you can take a look at it (at/on/in) blogs.com (at/in/on) your account. Please help me to select correct words inside brackets. And why there should be at,on or in. I asked my teacher about it and he said that I should use only at or on for the internet pages ( on the page, at the admin...) but when I talk to native speakers they use "i doesn't work in admin panel".

Good questions Valentin, As a general rule, you look things up, see, read ON the internet. ' I created a new page ON the internet! You can find it AT blogs.com! For a specific address, actually 'on' would not be wrong, but AT a little better. For email, 'in' or 'on' can be used: 'I can't remember if it's in my email or not'. I'll give you my account details and you can check the page WITH admin credentials. (I think this is what you mean?) For your last sentence, I'd use ON or WITH: 'I guess, you can take a look at it at blogs.com on/with your account.' Hope this helps!

First, 'internet pages,' although understandable sounds strange. It is more natural to say 'web pages', or most commonly 'websites.' Hi, I'm trying to understand what are the best prepositions to use when I'm talking about things related to the internet and websites. For example, I created a website ON the internet and published it via, for example, blogs.com and now I want to show to a friend of mine: - Hi! - Hey, what's up? - I created a new page ON the internet! You can find it ON/AT (I prefer 'on' here) blogs.com! The reason I prefer 'on' is because you have not given the exact specific web address of your blog. 'Blogs.com' is generic. If you had said specifically what is the web address of your blog e.g blogs.com/valentin then 'at' would be the preposition to use. - Wow, how did you do that? - That's easy, I'll give you my credentials and you can check the page AS the admin. (None of the given options are appropriate here.) - Ok, I'll do that. For now, I already left a comment there, take a look at it :) - Where I can see it? - I guess you can take a look at it ON/AT blogs.com USING your account. I prefer 'on' in the final sentence for the same reason as above, and also to avoid the repetition of 'at' so close together ('look at it at...') which sounds a little awkward. For the very last example, 'on' is possible here, but it sounds better to say 'USING')

- Hi! - Hey, what's up? - I created a new page (on) the internet! You can find it (at) blogs.com! - Wow, how did you do that? - That's easy, I'll give you my credentials and you can check (out) the page (as) admin. - Ok, I'll do that. For now, I (have)already left a comment there. Take a look at it :) - Where I can see it? - I guess you can take a look at it (at) blogs.com (using) your account.

gosh, sorry for lots of mistakes in the text. Of course I mean "discussions" instead of "discusstions" and "it doesn't work" instead of "i doesn't work".
