How do I ask "Can you write me a recommendation letter?" In Korean?
I'm applying to study abroad in Korea, and I want to ask my professor to write a letter for me. I'm trying to write most, or all, of my email to her in Korean, but it's really difficult for me to figure out how to say things like,
"Because I want to study abroad, I need a letter of recommendation," and "If you can write me a recommendation letter, I'll be grateful."
Also, since I haven't been in her class since last year, how can I say something like, " I'm (name here) from your class last year." ?
Last thing- How can I say "I hope you've had a good summer." ?
This email is really important, so I would love to be able to write these things and ask her soon.
Thank you so much!

"Because I want to study abroad, I need a letter of recommendation."
"If you can write me a recommendation letter, I'll be grateful."
(This sounds a little pushy to me)
I wonder if it would be alright to ask for a recommendation letter from you.
"I hope you've had a good summer."
Did you have good summer. (more typical in Korean)
Hope you had a good summer (sounds a bit unnatural)
