how to use the word "finish"?can i say finish to do sth or finish doing sth?if i can what is the difference?

Hi!
There are so called "verb patterns". Many verbs have special using. After FINISH we use verb+ing. Ex.:I've finished cooking. Give me your e-mail and i'll send you all the rules of using verb patterns. :-)
