What does «бери ношу по себе, чтоб не падать при ходьбе» mean? Thanks everyone, I understand the phrase now. Examples and explanations of "по себе" and "при ходьбе" would be useful as well. Thanks :)

I'd translate it like "Don't take more than you can carry, so that you wouldn't fall". It means be realistic when estimating your capabilities and you won't fail achieving your goals. In other words, it's about modesty. Interesting, in Russia, being overly optimistic about one's own capabilities is quite a bad thing. In the Western culture, it is rather a virtue to try harder than you can and set goals very high.
