What does mean the expression "barrow kings"
"I have stolen the princesses back from barrow kings". This is the sentence from the book I'm reading.
I can't undestand who barrow kings are.
The meaning of barrow in the dictionary:a vehicle moved by a person from which fruit and vegetables, etc. are sold at the side of a road.
Does it mean that there are kings that sold fruits?)))

What sort of book is it? I suspect that the barrow here is a 'raised mound over a grave'. Barrow kings might be some sort of supernatural kings of the afterlife. More context would help a lot.

Hi,
i'm kinda late for the party, but since book 3 is still not released i guess it's fine.
i can't really say what barrow kings mean, but i can say it was translated as the german equivalant to "fiends". i've read the german and the english versions of the books and the translations are usually very accurate, ... so i'd think the translators had some thoughts with this translation.
