How have you been doing lately?
Cuando dices que ha sido de tu vida, no es ingles, eso es en español pero si lo quieres se traduce What has been of your life? Pero te recomiendo que preguntes How have you been doing lately?

You may hear English speakers who know each other well say "How's life?" after a greeting, if they haven't seen each other recently. It is informal and used between friends. Perhaps this is a close approximation to your Spanish phrase.
