抱きしめたい [meaning of]
Hi there! I'm wondering about the meaning of 抱きしめたい.
A translation tells me it's "I want to hold your hand".
Though, I thought it meant something along the lines of "I want to hug you" or "I want to hold you".
Which is correct?
One more question;
Is this something I could say to my partner?
Thank you for your answers in advance!

Hello! You're right - it means 'I want to hold you'.
It has a bit of a different connotation from 'I want to hug you', as it is more formal, and usually used in a romantic context.
So yes, it is certainly something you could say to your partner :).
