How to say software engineer in French I am software engineer for accountant departments. I usually introduce myself in English. Question how to say it in French.

I'd say it depends who you introduce yourself to. If it's not related to work, you might want to say "ingénieur en informatique". If you want to be more specific, you should say "ingénieur logiciel" (but not everyone would know what it is that you do)
