what is the difference between 보고파 and 보고싶어?
Can you give examples on which situations you would use either of them?

보고파는 보고프다의 활용형으로, '프다'는 '싶다'의 비표준어입니다. 따라서 '보고 싶다'고 해야 합니다.
보고파 is a conjugation of "보고프다"
프다 is non standard/dialect form of "싶다".
You must use 보고 싶다 only even though you can see 보고파 in lyrics and poem.
