"thank you for the birthday card" in japanese???
i need some help is this sentence right?
私ははがきを得ました。
watashiwahagakiwoemashita.
the message is for a good friend.

otegami arigatou gozaimashita.
お手紙ありがとうございました。
Since it's for a good friend
"otegami arigato(u)" should be fine!
お手紙ありがと(う)

To my good friend, I would say:
バースデーカードをありがとう。
In my opinion, adding abit more like "nice birthday card" would be better. (すてきなバースデーカードをありがとう。)
