Unterschied zwischen 'Sei', 'War' und 'Wäre'? Ich bin verwirrt.

"Sei" ist entweder Konjunktiv ("er sagte er sei in München gewesen" -> He said he was in Munich") oder Imperativ ("Sei pünktlich -> Be on time")
Im Deutschen steht in der indirekten Rede der Konjunktiv (German has the subjunctive in reported speech)
"War" ist Vergangenheit/Präteritum ("er war in Saarbrücken" -> He was in Saarbrücken")
"Wäre" ist Konjunktiv II (engl. Conditional) ("Ich wäre in der Lage Dir das Geld zu leihen -> I would be able to lend you the money)
