What's the difference between '' I fall asleep'' and '' I overslept''
in what cases I have to use them?

"I fall asleep" is the process of going to sleep. "I overslept" means that you woke up too late (after you already slept).

'' I fall asleep'' >the change from a waking to a sleeping state .
I was asleep> You were in a state of sleep
I overslept > you woke up later than you should.
