Why is it I am being declined by tutors ?
It looks bad on my detail page, ( CANCELLED ) after I have tried to book lessons.
If a teacher is not able to tutor native speakers towards the Ielts high bands, then surely it should be stated.
This is not directed at anybody in particular. This is why my details are now private.

I am happy to tutor at the highest level and have stated I do proficiency. I must say that the majority of students are not of C2 level, nor native speakers. Possibly this is why most people do not state it specifically - they rarely get asked for such high level tuition, especially with their own countrymen.

Perhaps I should clarify my own position, though I do mention I teach teachers of English, and coach RP.

Oh, and the other thing is that we all get stuck with bad statistics. I have moaned to italki about the 'problems' column. Most problems are not problems because they are minor and are resolved. However.... there they are.... PROBLEMS! Recorded forever. Stuck in black and white on the profiles!
