Hi Flavia, Bill is right. SMAGLIATURA (stretch mark) represent a metaphor in order to express suffering and pain.
It is a prhase from an italian song: "Caffè nero bollente" di Fiorella Mannoia. I imagine that you was listening to this song.

I'm guessing
"stretch marks in life are many"
so stretch marks are the lines on a woman's belly after giving birth. So it is an idiom linking pain, suffering, experience, pleasure, delight and familial surroundings all in one concept and links it to time passing
