Terumo is indeed the name of the Japanese company. I don't think of any other meaning.
Terumo was founded as a 'thermometer' manuracturer (that's where the company name came from) and supplies a wide variety of medical equipment today.

all i can think of is a that Terumo is a company name. chuck テルモ into japanese google and you will get back results about the company such as the company website itself: http://www.terumo.co.jp/ as well as links to finance information and what i can only guess are subsidiaries of the company. I'm not sure if the word has any other meaning that just a company name.
