What does "bringing into play" mean in the following context"? Does it mean "making a play or game out of what is happening" rather than its phrasal meaning of "bringing about"?
Context:

that which is taking place.

Even though I cant make head or tail of what the above paragraph is about without the context , bring to play is close to bringing about something to become a factor in something else
