What's the japanese phrase for "Excuse me, where is the money exchange booth?"
or " Excuse me, do you know where I can find a money exchange booth?" I plan to visit Japan someday and I want to exchange my US dollars to Yen. If I see someone I don't know, I want to ask that person where it is in Japanese. How do I say that phrase in a formal or informal way?

Excuse me, where is a money exchange booth?
--> すみません。りょうがえじょはどこですか。(with kanji:すみません。両替所はどこですか。)
Excuse me, do you know where I can find a money exchange booth?
--> すみません。りょうがえじょがどこにあるか、おしえてもらえますか。
(literal translation: Excuse me, can you show me where a money exchange booth?)
or more polite: すみません。りょうがえじょがどこにあるか、ごぞんじですか?
(literal translation: Excuse me, do you know where a money exchange booth is?)
Anyways, the first sentence is good enough and easiest for your question. I hope this was helpful.

You may say "sumimasen, ryogaejyo wa doko desuka?" that works to most of Japanese. Or in very short way which is not formal though "ryogae doko?" It's like "exchange where?"
