How do I say this in english? Which is correct?
"La gente no quiere escuchar la verdad" Do I say "people don't want to hear the truth" or "people doesn't want to hear the truth"?

Our teacher told us:
"He, she, it (or a Name) - No "s" is shit." :)
So in your case, there is no "he, she, it or a name" - so it has to be "People don't want to hear the truth"
Maybe this helps you too ^_^

People is plural in English (one person, two people, three people etc.' The correct conjugation is therefore 'people don't...' A tip to remember this would be to think of 'people' as meaning 'las personas' and not 'la gente'.
