Does anywhere invite Native speakers to visit for English practice? There seem to be plenty of people looking to practice their English, but do any language schools offer the chance for students to speak to Native speakers? My enquiries have only found vacancies for qualified teachers. (((

You can speak with native English speakers on italki at any time. If you have an English language partner, you can chat with them for free, but many people have families and personal lives and may not be willing to spend a lot of time chatting with you for free. italki has many native English speaking teachers who will happily talk with you anytime, but teachers charge money for their time because it uses up their free time with their families as well. I am such a teacher. My rates are very reasonable and I would be happy to have you as a student in some one-on-one conversation classes. Do you know about instant tutoring on italki? This is another option. You can be chatting with a native English speaker within 10 minutes any time of the day or night. It doesn't get more convenient than that!

It seems that I must keep looking. Maybe the language courses are more interested in the fees than helping their students. (Everyone needs practice!)

I have heard of some scheme in Spain but I am not sure if it was just teachers, they would provide accommodation in return for language - I think you had to pay your own bus fare though. Happy hunting - I hope you find something. Bob
