About the verb "claim" The sentence below is an example in the Cambridge dictionary. "He claims to have met the president, but I don't believe him." Is it also correct to rewrite that sentence like this? "He claims that he have met the president, but I don't believe him." Thanks in advance.

Remember the rules for he/she/it: ""He claims that he HAS met the president, but I don't believe him." Yes, this is a perfectly fine alternative.
