などという meaning
There is a sentence in the "Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanse" that I quite not fully understand.
...その時家族の言う「お帰りなさい」などというあいさつも英語にはない。
And specifically I dont quite understand the meaning of などという
I think I get what the sentence basically means - that there is no such a greeting in English - but why is it written as such?
