how to subtract the con totals from the pro totals?
here is a paragraph....
【Q: my boss recently offered me a promotion, but i don't know if i should take it.
A: make a list of pros and cons of each job, and give each one a score from 1 to 5 (5=the best). then do the math- add up the points for each list, and subtract the con totals from the pro totals. which job has the highest score?】
Sorry but i don't quite understand how to do this math, hahaha. what is pro score? a 4 point? and 2 point is a con score?
for example, jobA is 17 point (closeness to work 5 points+ good money 5 points+ flexible hours 5 points+ pressure 2 points=17 points), so pro totals are 15 points, con is 2 points, so subtract 2 points from 15 points, then i get 13 points.
job B is 10 points (closeness to work 3 points+ good money 3 points+ flexible hours 4 points+ pressure 1 points=11 points), so pro totals are 10 points, con is 1 points, so subtract 1 points from 10 points, then i get 9 points. so 13 points VS 9 points, so Job A wins. is that right?

Yeah you're thinking about it correctly:
Job A Pros (all positive values 1,2,3,4,5) based on how good they are:
Close to home (+5)
Money (+5)
Hours (+5)
Total: 15
Job A Cons (All negative values (-1, -2, -3, -4, -5) based on how bad they are:
Stress/Pressure (-2)
Total: -2
Job A = 15-2 = 13
Hope this helps. Keep up the great work!
